Love and Light have been making waves in the world of Glitch Hop lately, which is no surprise given their extensive experience in the genre. Producing music together since 2010, Matt Madonna and Ryan Anderson (formerly known as Probiotik and 4Centers) have had plenty of time to refine their signature style of bass heavy, glitchy and uplifting beats. Every track made is a combined effort to make music which can not only bring people together, but simultaneously fulfill their desire for rhythmic bass music.

Now, hot off the heels of their Smiles for Miles tour we bring you the first half of what is truly a talent-filled remix EP. With remixes by JPOD, AMB and Omega the Level Up Remixes expresses Love and Light’s music in a new way, while still staying true to their roots in funky bass music.

The JPOD remix of The Holodeck is a beautifully constructed remix, with an ambient intro slowly leading its way to a funky, almost disco-like drop and bassline. The Cosmic Flutter was a legendary track to begin with, but Budapest-based producer AMB’s remix only improves what was great in the first place. The song which was a very upbeat and bouncy track has been completely resculpted into a much deeper and soulful experience. Also on this huge EP is Omega and his remix of All That’s Left. With an exhilarating and intricate beat this remix is a bulletproof rework by a clearly talented producer.

Simply put, This EP is a powerful interpretation of what Love and Light have been working on over the last year. With a brilliant roster of producers on remix duty this release allows one to experience the tracks in a new way and delivers a completely new auditory experience. Part two of the remix EP is due out in the next few months, so stay tuned for more first-rate remixes!

Rob Stern and Joe Benny met up at Audio Engineering School and came from two different backgrounds: EDM/HipHop vs live bands and hip hop. The Secret Panda Society was born out of a combined interest in the new bass music that was infecting the EDM scene.

This multi-genre duo from Baltimore now joins Simplify, and drops the retro-themed EP Crop Top. The Hometown Hustle is a Midtempo banger dripping with disco vibes. while 80′s In My Mercedes is a melodic Dubstep monster sure to set any dance floor on fire.
